S.T.A.R. Program

  S.T.A.R. Southwest Teens At Risk

Who We Are

The STAR (Southwest Teens at Risk) Program is a confidential service that assists at-risk youth and their families in the Southwest Interlake area in identifying harmful behaviours and barriers to success. STAR
utilizes community and family resources to accomplish this by creating an individualized plan for each youth, providing support, coordinating resources and advocating on behalf of the youth and their family.

STAR is a team approach involving Manitoba Justice, Child and Family Services, Manitoba Health, Interlake Regional Health Authority, RCMP, Probation Services, Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, and the Interlake
School Division as required.

Parents and youth are encouraged to contact STAR directly for more information or assistance or can inquire about the program through any of the aforementioned community agencies that may already be assisting them.
