Canada Strong at Stony Mountain School

Wellness Assemblies at École R. W. Bobby Bend School

To support inclusion and equity in École R. W. Bobby Bend School, Wellness Assemblies have been regularly occurring for the last two years. Students and staff gather together to participate in teaching, learning, and conversation about the Circle of Courage and Indigenous Ways of Knowing, Being, and Doing. Recently, Penny Ross from the Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba joined the assembly to talk about Treaty Community Relationships and the connection between independence and belonging in a community. Warren Collegiate’s Ethics Bowl Team Earns Second Place at Provincials

Ethics Bowl is a collaborative and competitive team event where students discuss ethical dilemmas. It is a structured debate-like competition, but unlike traditional debates, the emphasis is on understanding the complexities of ethical issues rather than simply winning an argument. The W.C.I Ethics Bowl team came in second place at provincials which earned them a place at Nationals. Students competed against other teams in the country.
